La Rocca Creative Cakes is thrilled to have been awarded the prestigious Product of the Year Canada award. Judged on innovation, the Dulce Napoleon Cake won in the Home Gourmet category. The winning products were selected following a national survey of nearly 5,400 Canadian consumers. “The recognizable seal of approval from these consumer-choice awards provides guidance to Canadians faced with so many choices when they shop,” says Sandra Parente, Program Director, Product of the Year.
The masterful pastry chefs at La Rocca Creative Cakes are always creating new products and experimenting with new flavour profiles. Their head pastry chef and cofounder, Marty Givens, travels extensively to experience desserts from around the world and works closely with industry professionals, including their suppliers and other bakers, to gain inspiration. The Dulce Napoleon is a great example of this process.
“To win this coveted award is a huge honour for everyone at La Rocca. With more than 25 years experience and passion baking some of Canada’s most sought after desserts, it’s very rewarding to see our Dulce Napoleon win this prominent award,” says Ilisa Chacon, Director of Marketing, La Rocca Creative Cakes. “We hope that people who aren’t familiar with La Rocca will give our desserts a try, and those that are familiar with us will continue to enjoy our products and taste some of our newest creations!”
